The furnishing and decorating of home and office is largely confined to the purchase and combination of single items. Everything that is generally offered is out of a catalogue and ready-made. People have taste - and can express their individuality - if they have the ability to combine the various elements according to their personal style.

Nevertheless, components that are commonplace to the modern household, for example TV, stereo set, continue being alien elements to the ambience.

I intend to abolish the dictate of monotonous mass consumption and its style restrictions via synthesis of art and function. During the development of a concept guided along the target, the client takes an active part in the creative process based upon the motto:

”That’s what I want, that belongs to me, that’s who I am !”

SCHMARANDER‘S ERLEBNISRÄUME® (Schmarander’s Realm of Experiences) is purely handmade, each detail is specially crafted or painted – no airbrush is used. No prefabricated parts such as patterns, etc. are used. Clients determine the style and character and have, of course, the opportunity to integrate their favourite elements.

Above the focussing on the synthesis of painting and motion (technique – electronics), the main attention is on the use of the entire space. The boundaries set by wall, roof or floors are asking to be crossed.

In future, I will obtain technical support by the Institute for Research and Service Development of the Technical University of Bielefeld.

The result is individual, whether in one style, many styles or no style at all, baroque, futuristic or modern ...
